Nicolo Zingales

Associate Professor in Law and Technology, Leeds University

Dr Nicolo Zingales researches and teaches information law and policy at the University of Leeds, which he joined as associate professor in June 2019. He is also an affiliate scholar at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society and at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society.

He is also a founding member of the MyData organisation and the host of its London hub; and a founder and co-chair of the UN IGF Coalition on Platform Responsibility. His research focuses on the role and responsibilities of digital intermediaries cutting across different legal regimes, including intellectual property, competition law, data protection and consumer law.

He is currently writing a book on how the legal system is evolving to stimulate and regulate the emergence of “”infomediaries””, such as Personal Data Stores and similar service providers.
