Leena Kuusniemi

Legal Adviser, founder of Leegal Oy

Leena is a Visiting Fellow at European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC), Maastricht University’s Faculty of Law, and also a Special Adviser (Digital and Tech) for Fipra International. She has participated into several EU Commission working groups related to technology industry initiatives.

Before founding Leegal Oy in Finland, Leena worked in legal departments of Rovio Entertainment and Nokia Corporation (Finland HQ, Vancouver, Copenhagen) supporting strategic technology licensing, mobile advertising and global regulatory and privacy matters among other things.

She has lectured widely in conferences and training programmes and is a member of IAPP.
Leena has a legal qualification degree from University of Helsinki and LL.M. (Law and Information Technology) from University of Stockholm.
